Third year (S5) — equipments & details

Family Home project

A small family detached house project for a couple. Located on a narrow plot with constraints such as imposed surfaces and program. This project was carried out as part of the Equipment and Details course and integrated all the plumbing, electrical, heating and ventilation systems design. A more particular work on the structure and the constructive details was also carried out.

Design &

Structure

This housing project was intended to accommodate a young couple in a detached house on a given plot.
The design offers, on the ground floor, a closed entrance hall, a toilet, then a kitchen fully opened on the living area, overlooking the garden. On the first floor, a bedroom with dressing room and bathroom, as well as a loggia.
The vertical circulation benefits from the total height of the house with the corridor on the first floor made as a mezzanine, as well as a large bay window over the entire height of the building to open and enlarge the space in this small imposed volume.

ELECTRICAL NETWORK

For the electrical system, we find the location of the ceiling lights, sockets and switches as well as the plan of the connection network between these elements up to the electricity meter located in the entrance hall, then to the public network.
The heating system is based on a heated floor on the ground floor because this open living space requires a certain amount of heating. While upstairs, two extra radiators and a heated towel rail are sufficient.
The plumbing plans show the cold, hot and wastewater network in the wet block, as well as the rainwater collection system on the roof.
Finally, the ventilation system is a CMV, the plans show the locations of the air intakes and outlets, the associated manifolds and the air handling unit on the first floor.
